“Amor Verus” (True Love) or (Real Love) a vibrant and engaging camp designed for 7th-9th grade students eager to explore the beauty of their Catholic faith and put it into action. This unique camp blends enriching theological lessons with meaningful service opportunities, offering campers the chance to grow both in understanding and in love.
Campers will dive into St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body at an age-appropriate level through interactive lessons, discussions and activities. Participants will learn about the dignity of the human person made in the image and likeness of God and the call to real love and authentic relationship.
In the afternoon together we will live out the call to love love in the broader sense toward our entire community. Through a variety of hands-on service projects, we will embody the Gospel’s call to love our neighbor.
Amor Verus signifies authentic love that reflects the self-giving, sacrificial nature of how we are called to love one another, echoing Christ’s love for humanity.
This camp experience aims to integrate faith and action, enabling students to see the rich connection between understanding their faith and living it out in the world.
